UniTeam’s Public and Community First Aid training is about learning the valuable skills to save a life in emergency situations, which in turn brings the community closer together. UniTeam offers a selection of credentialed first aid training courses suitable for every tier of the community offering certified courses in adult and pediatric first aid for schools, nurseries and parents, and basic first aid for members of the public.
In Abu Dhabi, the Health Authority Abu Dhabi has developed a standard for first aid training. This first aid standard sets out guidelines for first aid in schools, as well as suggestions about the risk assessment of first aid needed in schools and outlines recommended staffing requirements of who and how many should be trained as first aid providers in schools.
The first aid courses we recommend for schools, nurseries and parents include:
- Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED designed to teach teachers about providing first aid and CPR AED for infants and children from age 1 – 8 years;
- Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is designed to teach teachers about providing first aid and CPR AED for adolescents and adults. This course is also highly appropriate for all members of the public looking to learn the necessary skills to provide immediate first aid.
These courses have been developed and certified by the American Heart Association (AHA).
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in CPR and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA materials, do not represent income to the association.
