UniTeam’s ECG and Pharmacology course has been updated to reflect the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. This classroom-based, facilitator-led course is designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills and pharmacology knowledge for treating cardiovascular emergencies.
This course is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who require this specialized knowledge for their job.
The course aims to develop proficiency in interpretation of arrhythmia and basic knowledge of the drugs used in cardiovascular emergencies. The course material is consistent with the content of the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider Course (ACLS) and can enhance the knowledge on ECG and Pharmacology before attending the ACLS course.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in CPR and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA materials, do not represent income to the association.
