General Terms and Conditions for Training – Uniteam Medical Assistance LLC (UniTeam)

Should you require enhanced terms and conditions please contact UniTeam management to assess
your eligibility for a Training Agreement as a key account customer.

1. Course Bookings

For a course booking to be confirmed payment must be made in advance or a signed and stamped
quotation booking form must be received from the customer.

Where payment has not been made or a signed and stamped quotation booking form is not received
any indication of availability for course dates will only be provisional. Until payment has been made or the signed and stamped quotation booking form is received UniTeam reserves to right to fill the training slots and calendar as required based on other confirmed course bookings.

2. Payment terms

UniTeam’s standard payment terms are payment in advance at the time of booking.

Payment can be made online through UniTeam’s website or directly with UniTeam’s offices in cash,
authorized credit card, cheque or via direct bank transfer.

For regular customers 30 day payment terms against date of invoice may be agreed at the sole discretion of UniTeam Management. Invoices will be issued upon receipt of a signed and stamped quotation booking form.

For all course participants course completion cards and applicable certificates will not be issued until all course fees are paid in full.

3. Course Fees

Course fees are per the quotation and booking form or per UniTeam’s website. Course fees will be
invoiced as per the number of delegates booked and confirmed. That is, if a course is confirmed for 12 delegates and only 9 subsequently attend, the customer will be invoiced for 12 delegates.

Pre-course instructions and course manuals will be issued and invoiced according to the number of delegates booked.

Any course participants who arrive more than 30 minutes after the commencement of the course will not be allowed to complete the course and course fees will be charged in full. It is the responsibility of the course participants and the customer to ensure full attendance on the course date.

4. Rescheduling

Course participants can reschedule their registration for a course, or customers can reschedule the date of their course, without penalty to an alternative date provided the following conditions are met:

  1. It is for the same course;
  2. It is more than two weeks before the course date; and;
  3. Only one reschedule has been made, multiple rescheduling will attract an administrative fee.

Where the conditions for a reschedule without penalty are not met the following conditions apply:

  1. Where more than one reschedule is made, with more than two weeks’ notice, an administrative fee of 10% of the course fee will be charged.
  2. Where the reschedule is made one to two weeks prior to the course an administrative fee of 15% of the course fee will be charged.
  3. Where the reschedule is made less than seven days but more than 48 hours before the date of the course an administrative fee of 25% of the course fee will be charged.
  4. Where the reschedule is made less than 48 hours before the course date an administrative fee of 50% of the course fee will be charged.

5. Cancellations

Should the course participant or customer cancel the course after a signed quotation booking form has been submitted and payment has been received, or, invoice issued, the following conditions will apply to any refund subject to a deduction of a 10% in administrative fee:

  1. More than two weeks prior to the course start date full refund
  2. One to two weeks prior to the course – 50% of the course fee refunded
  3. Less than seven days prior to the course – no refund

Cancellation must be made in writing.

Where a course manual has already been issued and a cancellation is received, unless the course manual is returned in the original cellophane wrapping, a fee for the course manual will be charged.Where applicable no refund will be processed until the course manual is returned.

Course fee refunds do not apply for blended learning and E-learning courses no matter when cancellation is notified to UniTeam.

6. Failure to meet the minimum course requirements

Should a course participant not meet the minimum course requirements as applicable and is required to re-take the course any subsequent course attendance shall be charged at 20% of the original course fee.

7. Transfers

Transfer of registration from one course participant to another course participant is possible for the same course as long as prior notification is made in writing to UniTeam by no later than 48 hours before the course commencement date.

Where applicable it is the responsibility of the course participant to transfer the relevant course manual to the new course participant.

8. Issuing of course completion cards and certificates

Completion cards and course certificates will only be issued for candidates who have successfully completed and passed all necessary course criteria.

Course completion cards will be available for collection after 5 working days of successful completion of the course.

Completion cards and course certificates will only be issued after full payment has been received.

9. Non-attendance

If a course participant fails to attend a course and has not notified UniTeam according to these Terms and Condition the full course fee remains payable to UniTeam.

10. Guidelines for course participants and customers

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that course participants are free from any condition (medical or otherwise) which would affect their capability to undertake the nominated course. This includes, but is not limited to: injury; pregnancy; and; the aptitude to cope with an intensive course of study.

Please inform Uniteam in advance of any course participants with disabilities, in order to facilitate the course participant and ensure effective running of the course.

If a course participant does not meet the expected learning outcomes of the course and/or assessment process, and is remediated, the delegate will be offered a free remediation. Any subsequent training or coaching over and above that provided on the course will be charged by Uniteam.

If a course participant demonstrates behaviour that is deemed unacceptable or causes damages he or she will be asked to leave the course and no refund will be applicable.

11. Unforeseen circumstances

Due to unforeseen circumstances UniTeam reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course. In such circumstances the course participant or customer will be given as much notice as is reasonably possible. The course participant will either receive a free transfer to another course date or full refund.

12. UniTeam’s right to vary these Terms and Conditions

Uniteam reserves the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
